Alessio Lisci: 'Team Put on a Great Performance; We Have to Congratulate Every Player'

Osasuna head coach Alessio Lisci addressed the media after his team’s 3-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano. “We finally did it. We put on a great performance at a tough venue. It’s a challenging field for both teams, and we played a great game,” Lisci said. “We probably didn’t have our best road performance, but we got the win. Considering the opponent and the venue, I am very happy for my players and how they performed—especially the guys who came off the bench, who made a big impact and changed the game.”

Lisci praised his squad’s collective effort. “I think the whole team did a great job, both on offense and defense, and we have to congratulate every player,” he said.

The Rome native emphasized that this win is just a foundation to build on. “When the league is so tight, winning two consecutive games allows you to set yourself apart, but we can’t forget that we have a tough schedule ahead. We are welcoming strong teams, even though we have turned our home into a fortress. So, we can’t relax. We have to prepare the same way we did when we faced Levante, which was a challenging and very competitive match.”
